PART/FULL TIME NANNY IN SURREY

A friendly, busy family in Esher is looking for a kind and capable nanny to care for their two bubbly children, aged 3.5 and 1.5. The role is available either part-time or full-time (term-time only), offering lots of time off and flexibility for the right candidate. ABOUT THE FAMILY

This warm and loving family of four is seeking a confident and capable nanny to support their two delightful children: B3.5 and G1.5 The little boy is articulate, active and very curious – particularly about maths and art. G1.5 is joyful and easy-going, with a love for music, dogs, and shoes! The family prioritise the happiness and emotional well-being of their children and describe their parenting style as relaxed, nurturing and with boundaries that are rooted in love. Both mums work from home, one full-time and one two/three days a week, although the house is set up in such a way that the nanny will be able to work independently. They are looking for a caring, proactive nanny who shares their approach and can slot seamlessly into their family life.

The family are ideally looking for an afternoon nanny but are open to offering full time hours for the right candidate. Both options are term time only. 

  • Option A: Part-Time - Monday to Friday, 12:30pm–5:30pm (25 hours/week)

  • Option B: Full-Time - Monday to Friday, 7:30am–4:30pm (45 hours/week with occasional flexibility to stay until 17:30)

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Option A:

  • Nursery and school pick-up.

  • Managing the afternoon nap routine for G1.5

  • Preparing an evening meal for the whole family.

  • Facilitating engaging afternoon activities for the children.

Option B:

  • Assist with the morning routine and school run

  • Carry out nursery, house-keeping/management and PA duties while the children are at school/nursery.

  • Nursery and school pick-up.

  • Managing the afternoon nap routine for G1.5

  • Preparing an evening meal for the whole family.

  • Facilitating engaging afternoon activities for the children.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

We are looking for a capable, gentle nanny who is:

  • Personable: You will be naturally engaging and confident with a strong sense of discretion. You are emotionally receptive and aligned with the family’s respectful, child-led parenting style.

  • Passionate about learning: The children are very curious about the world around them and you will be the kind of nanny who takes joy in their learning and stimulating their wonder. Ideally, you will have passions and interests to share - for example a second language. French in particular would be a bonus but is not essential

  • A driver: School drop off is a short car journey away so you will be a confident driver with a clean driving licence. 

  • Responsible and dependable: As the family’s first long-term nanny, they are seeking someone proactive, trustworthy, and capable of working both independently and in partnership with the parents. It would be a bonus if you have a strong knowledge of/background in safeguarding children. 

  • An animal lover: You must be comfortable around pets as the family has a cat and a friendly, well behaved dog.

PERKS & BENEFITS

  • Salary: £16-19gph

  • Generous holiday allowance: As a term time only role you will have 13 weeks per year off (6 weeks paid, salary will be annualised)
