ABOUT THE FAMILY
Warm and welcoming first-time parents in Islington are looking for an experienced, confident nanny to care for their baby, born in August 2025. Both parents are professionals who work from the office so this is a sole-charge role, ideal for someone who takes real joy in engaging with little ones throughout the day. Baby G5m is described as playful, smiley, and very happy-natured, and is already in a great routine enjoying 2 scheduled naps a day. The family are bi-lingual and although not a dealbreaker, fluent French is highly desirable.

It’s really important to the family that the nanny actively engages the baby both at home and out in the world — talking to her throughout the day, planning and carrying out age-appropriate activities, and supporting her development through play, music, sensory experiences, and interaction. The home is in a bustling area of London, and so we are looking for a nanny who can confidently entertain the baby at home, whilst also being comfortable to take her out and about to local classes, groups, and activities, making the most of what the area has to offer.

This role is 40 hours per week across 4 days (ideally Mon-Thurs but open to discussion), starting as soon as possible and the family are looking for someone who is can offer occasional flexibility i.e. swapping days or staying late (overtime paid at usual hourly rate) if required, of course with plenty of notice.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Sole-charge childcare: Providing attentive, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate care throughout the day in a sole-charge capacity.

• Routine management: Following and supporting established sleep and feeding routines to ensure consistency and well-being.

• Age-appropriate activities: Planning and engaging the baby in sensory play, music, water play, and creative activities that support early development.

• Nursery duties: Managing all baby-related housekeeping, including laundry, tidying play areas, and keeping the nursery organised (a cleaner is employed for the household).

• Communication with parents: Keeping mum regularly updated on the baby’s day, activities, progress, and milestones through open, two-way communication.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

We are looking for a fun, caring nanny who is:

• Experienced with babies & toddlers: Confident and knowledgeable in caring for babies, with an understanding of early milestones and how to support development.

• Warm and playful: Naturally engaging, affectionate, and playful, with a genuine love for early years care.

• Development-focused: Able to plan and carry out age-appropriate, stimulating activities.

• Safety-conscious: Demonstrates an ability to maintain a safe environment and prioritises baby’s well-being at all times.

• A strong communicator: The family are keen to build a team approach therefore, you will be comfortable keeping parents informed and working collaboratively, valuing transparency and trust.

• A French speaker: Ideally able to speak French to the baby as part of daily interaction
