ABOUT THE FAMILY

A positive and busy family of five are looking for a warm, confident nanny to join their lively household. Their home is bright, sociable and filled with chatter, piano notes and plenty of outdoor adventures. The family have three children B8, B5 and G3.

B8 is inquisitive, has a sharp memory, and loves reading, fencing and swimming. He is neurodiverse and thrives with clear routines, gentle prompts and a patient, encouraging approach. B5 is caring, sensitive and thoughtful. He has a passion for sports excelling at both football and tennis. Lions, Narnia stories and imaginative play are firm favourites and he enjoys focused one-to-one support when it’s time for homework. With two big brothers to keep up with, G3 has a strong sense of self and knows her own mind. She enjoys ballet classes, swimming and entertaining herself with her toys at home.

The children are naturally chatty and curious and the family are keen to nurture those qualities while maintaining good manners and clear boundaries. They often enjoy cooking together so a nanny happy to involve them in meal preparation (and tolerate the occasional flour explosion!) will be warmly welcomed.

The role is truly a team effort as the care is shared with mum to make sure everyone is in the right place at the right time. As a family, they value contentment, safety and happiness above all and are excited to welcome a nanny who will grow with them for years to come; someone who enjoys being part of a busy, loving and bustling home and who finds joy in helping three bright engaging children flourish.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Childcare: The role covers every aspect of looking after B8, B5 and G3: supporting school and nursery routines, helping with homework, managing playdates and after-school clubs and ensuring each child feels engaged and encouraged.

  • Nursery duties: You’ll be hands-on with the practicalities such as organising wardrobes, keeping bedrooms and play areas in order, helping the children prepare their school bags for their next day etc. A calm, patient approach is key, alongside an ability to prompt and guide while keeping things fun and light.

  • Cooking and Meal Management:The household is strictly peanut-free and you’ll be vigilant in maintaining this. Planning and preparing healthy appealing meals is an important part of the role - the children love eating balanced plates - often with foods served separately so they can choose combinations themselves.

  • Nursery/School Runs & Activities: You’ll handle school pick-ups and drop-offs using the family car (automatic). B8 attends two different settings during the week and moves between schools at lunchtime, while all 3 children attend extra curricular activities. Confidence behind the wheel, careful time-keeping and a positive can-do attitude toward logistics are essential.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

We are looking for an outstanding nanny who is:

  • A Confident Driver: You’ll be on the road daily for school runs, clubs and playdates across South West London. A full, clean licence is essential; the family will provide the nanny with an automatic car.

  • A Team Player: Mum is in and out running a new business so you’ll collaborate closely while also stepping up independently when needed. Daily “pow-wow” chats help divide tasks and keep everyone on track.

  • Patient, Fun & Firm: With three bright kids, the household is defined by plenty of energy. You’ll be engaging and balance warmth and humour with clear, consistent boundaries - homework first, polite table manners, no weekday screens etc.

  • An Organisation Pro: From school bags, wardrobes and laundry to rotating outgrown clothes and prepping for activities, you’ll keep the children’s world running smoothly and model tidy habits along the way.

  • Food-Savvy & Allergy-Aware: Absolute allergy vigilance is required. You’ll plan and prepare balanced meals that the children enjoy. A nanny who enjoys letting kids help in the kitchen is a bonus.

  • Supportive of Neurodiversity: Knowledge of how to support AuDHD and dyslexia would be useful; you will be able to implement calm prompts, structure and encouragement to make a real difference. You’re comfortable adjusting expectations and helping each child shine in their own way.

  • A Positive Role Model: The family values kindness, gratitude and good manners. You’ll lead by example, encouraging respectful communication, turn-taking and self-reliance (e.g. clearing the table).

  • Reliable & Long-Term Minded: The family’s previous nanny was with them for eight years and they are looking to replicate that longevity. They would love to find a nanny who is excited to build lasting bonds, grow with the children and be part of the family’s rhythm for years to come.

  • A Clear Communicator: Strong spoken English is vital; confidence liaising with teachers, therapists and activity coaches keeps everyone informed. French is a plus but not required.

PERKS & BENEFITS

  • Salary: From £45,000gpa with discretionary bonus & opportunities for annual increase.

  • Holiday allowance: 20 days per annum (based on a 50/50 split) + bank holidays.

If you’re a calm, confident nanny who enjoys teamwork, thrives in a busy household and is excited about helping three curious children grow, we’d be delighted to hear from you.
