ABOUT THE FAMILY

We are looking for an outstanding live-in nanny for a fun, busy family of five in West London, with children aged 5, 3.5, and 2. B5 is a thinker - curious, articulate and eager to converse! He enjoys playing LEGO and, as his reading skills have begun to bloom, he loves exploring books. He feels deeply and is looking for a nanny who can show kindness, empathy and understand his big feelings. B3.5 is bubbly and easy-going. He enjoys being outside, playing physical games and, like his big brother, he is communicative and loves to chat. G2 is fun, full of beans and loves to keep up with her big brothers. She will be joining a local nursery 3 days a week in September and on her days at home, still enjoys her afternoon nap. The children are looking for a “no-screen” nanny who can get them out and about in the afternoons to run off some steam!

Both boys attend the same school; B5 full-time and B3.5 attends the nursery 4 days a week. Due to the mix of schedules, the nanny will be child-free during school hours on two days of the week and as such, the family are looking for someone who can take on some household administration duties during these times.

Mum and dad are open, warm and friendly and are looking for someone they can rely on 100% to manage the care and schedule of all three children. Whilst they work from home, they have demanding jobs and will not be involved in the day-to-day care of the children whilst the nanny is on duty. They describe themselves as firm but fair parents who validate their children's feelings with love and empathy, but maintain consistent boundaries when it comes to behaviour and safety.

Their current nanny has been with them for 2 years and is leaving to pursue her dream of living in America. As such, the family are looking for someone who is looking for a long-term commitment and is enthusiastic about growing with the role.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Childcare: This is a breakfast to bedtime role. It encompasses all aspects of caring for the children and all nursery duties including laundry, managing the children's uniform, helping them pack their school bags, keeping their areas tidy, rotating bed clothes, organising activities and playdates etc.

  • Household Admin: The family are looking for someone who is confident carrying out household admin duties (NOT cleaning) during the days the children are at school. You’ll be confident running errands such as taking the car to the mechanic, managing dry cleaning, and post office runs.

  • Full menu management: The children are all good eaters who enjoy a healthy, varied diet with lots of nutritious meals made from scratch. You will be responsible for the ordering and unpacking of groceries and preparing all meals.

  • Nursery/School drop-offs and pick-ups: Morning drop off will occasionally be shared with mum and dad, however you will be solely responsible for all three pick ups.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

We are looking for an outstanding nanny who is:

  • A driver: Being a confident driver with a clean driving license is an absolute must for this role. A nanny car will be provided.

  • A confident self starter: You're proactive, adaptable, and organised—able to juggle multiple schedules and take ownership of household admin with initiative and ease. You can work independently and take complete charge of all aspects of the role.

  • Experienced with multiples: You will have a minimum of 2 years proven experience caring for two or more children under 5. You understand the dynamics of sibling relationships and can maintain a calm, fair presence with a good sense of humour.

  • Reliable and ready to commit on a long-term basis: You're looking for a genuine long-term fit and are excited about building strong bonds with the children and growing with the role as their needs evolve. You’ll provide stability and consistency, becoming a trusted part of the family’s daily rhythm.

  • Passionate about manners: The family values kindness and respect.  You’ll lead by example, encouraging kindness, respect and lovely table manners.

  • A problem solver: You’re quick-thinking and resourceful, able to stay calm under pressure and make sensible decisions on the spot;, you take it all in stride with confidence and creativity.

  • A strong communicator: Strong spoken and written English is essential and you are confident in communicating with parents, teachers, nursery staff and other parents when arranging playdates. You’ll provide updates to the parents and clearly express any observations regarding the children’s development or well-being.

PERKS & BENEFITS

  • Salary: £42,000-£45,000 gross per annum

  • Accommodation: The nanny will have a large double bedroom and private bathroom (these rooms are on the same floor as the oldest child). The bedroom is equipped with a desk, armchair, TV, coffee maker, fridge and microwave. While the family is friendly and welcoming, the nanny will maintain professional boundaries during their time off.

  • Recreation: The nanny will have access to a gym and sauna.

  • Holiday allowance: 20 days per annum (based on a 50/50 split) + bank holidays

Potential Travel & Overtime: The family is open to offering the nanny travel opportunities and proxy-parenting.

If you're an organised, professional nanny who loves supporting growing families and you're excited about becoming a trusted part of daily life, we'd love to hear from you.
