With over six years of professional childcare experience, Candidate 55 has worked across both nursery and private household settings, giving her a well-rounded understanding of child development and family life. She began her career in a nursery environment, where she gained hands-on experience with children across the early years age range and went on to complete her SCQF Level 7 qualification in Social Services (Children and Young People). During her four years at Kidzcare, she progressed to the role of Preschool Room Leader, where she led a team, delivered curriculum-based activities and supported children with a variety of additional needs and medical conditions.

She has experience caring for children who have varied need, having worked with children with Down’s syndrome, foetal alcohol syndrome, ADHD, selective mutism and autism. She is confident adapting her approach to meet individual needs, whether through the use of visual aids, sign language, structured routines or sensory tools.
